Initial Linux Diagnosis

Start with one hour of focused investigation.

For a slow Linux server, a failed service, or an access or connectivity issue. Confirm availability and the diagnostic scope before paying.

What your initial diagnosis includes

  • One hour of remote engineering time focused on the agreed issue.
  • Review of relevant symptoms, logs, and recent changes within that time.
  • A summary of findings, any unresolved questions, and recommended next steps.
  • A proposed scope for further investigation or repair, if needed.

Diagnosis does not guarantee a root cause, a completed repair, or data recovery within the first hour. Changes require your approval.

Additional work

Standard work is $125/hour for nonmembers or $95/hour for eligible members. After the initial hour, further work is billed in 15-minute increments, with your approval before it starts. Larger projects and urgent support are quoted separately.

Scheduling and access

Send a brief description of the issue and your preferred times. We confirm availability, member eligibility where applicable, scope, and a session time. Before we begin.

Can we start with one issue?

Yes. Initial diagnosis can focus on an agreed problem. Repair work or further investigation is scoped separately when needed.

What does monthly care include?

Monthly Linux Care is quoted after reviewing your environment. Your agreement identifies covered systems, maintenance tasks, included hours, reporting, and response arrangements. Additional projects and restoration exercises are included only when explicitly agreed.

Do you provide immediate or 24/7 support?

Availability and response arrangements must be confirmed before booking. Sending an inquiry does not establish an immediate response commitment.

How is pricing determined?

Initial Linux Diagnosis is $125 for nonmembers or $95 for eligible members, covering one hour. Confirm availability and scope before paying. Monthly care, SFTP setup, recovery checks, and security reviews are quoted for the agreed environment and work.

Does a security review certify compliance?

No. The review identifies practical findings within the agreed scope. It is not a compliance certification or a guarantee that every vulnerability will be found.
